URGENT APPEAL!!
DETER PRESIDENT BUSH FROM ATTACKING IRAN!!
I am Don Schellhardt * (pioneerpath@hotmail.com):
a Government Relations attorney in Richmond, Virginia. Despite denials
from the White House, indications continue to mount that President Bush
is planning to launch an unprovoked attack on facilities in Iran. There
are even reports that the attack, justified as a way to prevent Iran
from developing nuclear weapons, may itself involve nuclear weapons that
were recently developed here: “low yield” “bunker busters” that burrow
underground before exploding.
If so, we can call the attack “The Nuclear War To End All Nuclear
Wars.”
A non-binding Resolution will not deter President Bush from launching an
attack. Maybe the consequences discussed below will be enough to give
him second thoughts.

Dear [INSERT NAME OF U.S. SENATOR OR U.S. REPRESENTATIVE]:
Despite denials from the White House, I continue to hear reports that
President Bush is planning an unprovoked attack on Iran -- possibly
involving nuclear weapons! Efforts by Congress to de-escalate in Iraq
may be complicated by the fact that U.S. forces are already stationed
there, but surely Congressional legislators can agree on preventing
unprovoked hostilities with Iran, where no U.S. forces are officially
present.
A non-binding Resolution is unlikely to deter this President. Therefore,
please send him the following message, or words to the same effect:
“Mr. President, based on various reports, I am concerned that you may
initiate an unprovoked attack on Iran, possibly with nuclear weapons.
Please be aware that I would regard any such action, if taken without
prior and explicit Congressional approval, as grounds for an immediate
impeachment inquiry.”
Please take action NOW -- before something is done that cannot be
undone.
Sincerely,
[INSERT YOUR NAME]
